Weaving Wonder's Basic Knit Beanie- Test Pattern

Image
Weaving Wonder's Basic Knit Beanie Weaving wonder is quickly becoming one of my favorite designers to test for. I appreciate her ability to use simple stitch combinations to bring forth gorgeous texture! And I have come to expect those textures from her patterns!  Thus, this pattern took me by surprise! Weaving Wonder on FB:  https://www.facebook.com/weavingwonder/ Weaving Wonder on  IG:  https://www.instagram.com/weavingwonder/ NOTE: I will update this post once the pattern is LIVE At first glance the hat doesn't look too incredibly special.  It is a common design that is easily accessable online. 1x1 ribbing followed by stockinette and finished with a pom pom!  Simple, quick, and practical. However, the catch to this pattern has more to do with construction. I adore this decrease/crown shaping because it makes for a perfect fit! It is also super fun and gives you something to look forward to at the end of a simple knit. The hat...

East Texas Newborn Photography Workshop With HLP

Image
The photographers in East Texas have formed a very special and tightly knit community. It has been my pleasure to get to know many of them. Especially, those who focus on working with newborns. One of my closest friends, via the industry, is Heather of Heather LeeAnn Photography.  Her work with tiny babies is gorgeous!  Those little clients of hers have graced the front page of my ETSY shop for three years!!!  I have genuinely enjoyed seeing her growth and creativity blossom!  I cannot wait to see what she does with this latest creation of mine!  Heather has invited me to be a sponsoring vendor in her workshop for local newborn photographers.  I am super excited to be a part of this!  I even knitted up a new bonnet just for their goody bags!  The Pom Pom Pixie! This bonnet is hand knit in a simple garter stitch.  It has a gorgeous texture and features a fun tiny pom pom!  I knit this using a luxury cashmere/merin...

The Avonlea Skirt

The Avonlea Skirt My social media is full of photos of adorable children who are excited for their first day of school! Everyone is dressed to impress!  The little ones are wearing their new shoes and outfits. All are accessorized with big hair bows and even bigger smiles! The Avonlea Skirt was directly inspired by the excitement of this season and my love for all things vintage!  I, of course, had to have something extra special for my own little student!  I wanted her to have a great first day of school too! This pattern is designed to have a bit of a vintage feel.  The DK weight yarn is light weight and knits up quickly!  I hope you enjoy knitting it for your little girl.  Please share the finished results here or on Ravelry!  I would love to see this skirt in action!
