Scarlett Braided Scarf- Test for JazzySteele

Texas weather rarely provides residents with an opportunity to wear a heavy knit garment. However, once in a while, I still get the itch to knit something genuinely warm and cozy!  The Scarlette Braided Scarf is the perfect winter knit!  I could not wait to cast on! Who cares if it will only get two or three days use during any given year!  (We don't get cold fronts often...)  The pattern is designed by super talented Jazzy Steele.  I will link all of her info below.  Be sure to check out her store on Ravelry!  She has some fantastic designs available!  This pattern was unique!  I have made my share of scarves (during my time in Colorado) and I was still surprised by how fun this was to knit!  Have you ever knit a scarf corner to corner?  Ya, me either!   Printing the sixteen page pattern was a bit intimidating!  This was probably the longest pattern that I've ever attempted.  However, once I got the groove it did not take long at all.  It was very easy to follo

Thus, I usually take this time to knit things for myself and family.  The Flax has been on my list of things to knit for a long time. The motivation for it this year was the Flax Along KAL hosted by GeordiKnits on Facebook/Instagram. I thought it would be fun to start the year by knitting something so many others have done. It turned out to be the right choice!  I had a gift card, from one of students, to Hobby Lobby where I was able to purchase the yarn for this sweater.  Yarn Bee's Sweet Divinity is just lovely and comes in several earthy tones.  Red Clay was my favorite. It has a variety of shades including burnt oranges and brick reds. My favorite thing about this acrylic is that it is not shiny like some "cheaper" yarns tend to be. It also produced a garment that has a lovely heavy drape which makes this so very cozy!  I will post l
