My Clan


Hey, guys! I thought I would do a quick intro! This is me (and my hubby ^^^)... I'm the one who knits all the pretty things!

My name is Sasha. I own and operate SofiaSofisticates, a shop dedicated to knitting and sewing the tiniest photo props for newborns!

On an average day you will find me curled up in my chair with a cup of coffee and some sort of project on my needles!  They are rarely empty! 

I mostly knit things for babies, my daughter, and my friends.  I also enjoy testing patters for other designers.  On the off chance that I have a quiet week, I will design my own things. Mostly, I just like to hang out with the fam!


This is my husband and our two girls! Sofia is the one with the curls and Daisy is the one with big ears!

The Phyllis Wristlet

This pattern came about fairly spontaneously! My sweet friend, Ashley, had been seeking a certain pattern for arm warmers.  When none were found, I decided to try my hand at writing up a pattern for her.  Thus, this was named after her Aunty, Phyllis. The Phyllis Wristlet is intended to be a simple and quick knit. It is great for new knitters who desire to create a gift worthy project. Knit flat and boasts a beautiful mock cable. The Adeline Slouchy (a beehive beanie)

One of the most knit-worthy humans I know is my daughter's Pre-K teacher, Mrs. Mary Helen! She is kind, loving, and persistently attentive to my 5 year old.  I am honored that she requested a hat. The Adeline Slouchy is a beehive style hat.  This is a simple stitch combination used in a variety of projects. I hope you enjoy knitting this up as much as I have!
