Whitby Triangle Scarf- Test for Jazzy

Texans are always joking about our weather.  One day it is hot and humid. The next, it is cold and wet!  The only way to survive is to layer up and hope you get the right combo for the day!

In my Spring Break haze I managed to finish up another test knit for Jazzy Steele.  This is the Whitby Triangle Scarf.  The pattern is written with room for size adjustments.  Awesome!!!  I chose to do a child sized scarf for Sofia.  I have yet to knit her a scarf and she was more than excited to receive this cozy beauty!

I was a bit worried yesterday, while finishing up this knit, that spring was finally arriving in East Texas!  The day was hot and muggy and I'm not ready to be out by the pool yet!  It seems that once the weather turns nice...it quickly becomes unbearably hot!  I'm NOT READY! Did I say that already? Well, I'll say it again!

To my surprise, and true to Texas style, today was much cooler than expected.  It has rained off and on for most of the afternoon.  This provided us with the perfect weather for testing out Sofia's scarf!  She wore it proudly as we ran our daily errands.  And...she even allowed me to grab some photos of her.  She is seriously the cutest lil thing!

If you are seeking a fun (and unique) knit then give this one a try! I will update once the pattern is live. I really liked the stitch combinations.  It has some unexpected design elements to a visibly simple looking product. I really love the hidden talent of miss Steele!

Also, this yarn is becoming one of my favorite go-to-fibers. It is really soft and has great stitch definition!  You should give this a try!  Lion Brand's Jeans in Color.  The color is called Corduroy.
This is the only angle I was able to get showing the shape of the Whitby!  It really is a triangle! Hahaha

Sofia said that she planned on wearing this outfit to school!  She said it was just right for running!  It can't be a part of her wardrobe if it slows her down!  If you have a five year old then you know exactly what I'm talking about!

I wouldn't be a true Russian mommy if I didn't try this out as a head scarf.  Isn't she just the cutest little Babushka? I won't dare to tell her this but she would make the cutest little "Masha" for halloween. (Referencing Masha & The Bear cartoon.)
